Sports Trading Network are delighted to be currently recruiting on behalf of a very successful consultancy group for a variety or quantitative based positions. These roles of Quantitative Analyst are split across all major sports including US Sports, these all will have an emphasis on statistical analysis and model development.

Responsibilities:

• Quantitative research across the sport
• Taking an important role in developing and back testing predictive models for the chosen sport
• Statistical analysis of data, which includes analysis of the integrity of the data and sourcing new data where appropriate
• Liaising with clients to ensure that they are fully trained to understand strengths and weaknesses of the model predictions, and create and maintain documentation to assist in this task

Required skills:

• Knowledge of advanced statistical principles and modelling techniques – MSc or PhD in statistics is preferred although other mathematical backgrounds will be considered.
• Knowledge and passion for sport
• Strong programming skills, R, Python, C++, Erlang to name a few
